Unlike the stormproof window, this style of casement is very much akin to the traditional old timber windows, and some producers call them "timber alternative". As the name suggests the casement finishes flush with the outside of the frame. However, they are still made from uPVC and most come with a woodgrain effect on the surface to replicate more authentically the old timber windows.
Modern manufacturing processes have enabled this type of window to perform much better than it's original forefather, with Qlon seals, multi-chamber extrusions and energy efficient glass! As a result there is now a great surge of interest, and the industry has pounced on the opportunity to fill the market with a great range of products.
The market leader and way out in front in this industry is a range of products called the Residence Collection, made up of R9, R7 and R2. Each one slightly different in aesthetics and dimensions to cover all types of installation and specification requirements. Admiral Windows are delighted to be part of their preferred installer scheme, covering the Oxfordshire area.

Beautifully flush inside and out
Residence 7 has been designed to embrace multiple manufacturing techniques. A traditional mechanical joint provides the ultimate timber alternative aesthetic. A mitre welding technique can fuse the joints together diagonally for a contemporary appearance, or choose the Graf weld for a seamless diagonal weld. The Timberweld® process welds the profiles with a timber look to both sides, or a MechWeld/External Timber Look (ETL) gives a diagonal weld to the internal face, with a timber look to the external external face.
Create an individual design statement for your home with a range of luxury colour finishes and hardware options. All of them have been carefully created with you in mind, allowing you to replace your current windows and doors with a more efficient, secure and attractive system.

Watch two videos about the Residence flush system
Although the Residence Collection is considered to be the high end market leader, and one of the original flush systems, other brands have been keen to muscle in on the action, and there is clearly a place in the market for competition. Admiral Windows have been able to source a fantastic alternative for the price conscious!
Authentic straight butt joints, or welded corners. This may not be a decision you thought you would need to make, but if price sensitivity and general overall look are more important than authenticity, then knowing that welded corners are less expensive than traditional butt joint construction may well be an important factor!
Our standard range of grained finish flush casement windows also come in a wide range of colours including the popular heritage colours such as Agate Grey, Elephant Grey and Chartwell Green.
